The Baahubali universe: A look into the enchanting tales

The newest tale from the kingdom of Mahishmati is currently out on Disney+Hotstar with the brand new animated series Baahubali: Crown of Blood. 1. The Sivagami Trilogy

The Sivagami trilogy, including The Rise of Sivagami (2017), Chaturanga and Queen of Mahishmati ( 2020), was created by Anand Neelakantan as a prequel to the movie series. Another book adaptation in the Baahubali Universe is the graphic novel written by S. S. Rajamouli and Yogesh Chandekar in 2017 with the help of Graphic India. This action packed novel follows the young princes of Mahishmati kingdom, Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva, who enter into a deadly tournament against fearsome warriors from around the world to safeguard queen Sivagami’s

pride and honour.

3. Baahubali: The Lost Legends

Before the release of Baahubali: Crown of Blood, the Baahubali universe saw another animated series created by Sharad Devarajan and S. S. Rajamouli under the banner of Arka Media works and GraphicIndia. Released on Amazon Prime and Colours TV, the series ran for five seasons from 2017 to 2020. This animated series is set before the first movie and explores the tales of the young princes Amarendra Baahubalii and Bhallaladeva who compete against each other to become skillful warriors and nab their rightful position as the future king of Mahishmati.

4. Baahubali: Before The Beginning

Anand Neelakant’s Sivagami trilogy was all set to be a Netflix series, reportedly with a whopping budget of more than 150 crores. Unfortunately, after months of work by the crew, Netflix decided to shelve the project, allegedly due to technical and production issues putting a sad end to what could have been another amazing cinematic experience from this universe.
