Kollywood actor Vikram, who is busy promoting his upcoming movie action drama Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, was recently faced with an exasperating question from a journalist about his fanbase.
The reporter suggested that Vikram does not have as many fans as fellow Kollywood stars like Ajith or Suriya.
An unfazed Vikram responded saying the reporter does not know anything about his fan base and invited him to the theatre when Thangalaan releases to see it for himself.

However, the reporter was unwilling to let go as he persisted with another question saying that Vikram is not in the list of top three leading stars in the industry.
Vikram said for him, being the top hero is not important and what matters is the ordinary viewers. “As far as I am concerned, everyone is my fan, in some way.”
The actor further said his vision of commercial cinema includes introducing innovative concepts.
Another reporter, present at the venue, observed that while the actors who were mentioned before have haters, Vikram has none.
Thangalaan, set to hit theatres on August 15, promises to be an intriguing action drama set in the 19th century in the Kolar gold mines. The movie also stars Hollywood actor Daniel Caltagirone, Malavika Mohanan and Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead.
The movie is produced by K E Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green and has music by GV Prakash.
