Aman Preet Singh, the brother of actor Rakul Preet Singh was detained by the Hyderabad Police in connection to a drugs case, reports said. Confirming the development, the police said that he would soon be produced in court.

The Cyberabad Police held a press meet on Monday evening to confirm the arrests including that of Rakul’s brother. According to news reports, Aman Preet Singh was nabbed after a joint operation by the Narcotics Bureau and the Cyberabad Police.

During the press meet, the officers reportedly said that a recent drug bust in the city led to the arrest of five peddlers, who revealed a 30-strong list of their customers. The arrested had bought 2.6 kg of cocaine to Hyderabad for sale, Aaj Tak said in a report. 

Aman Preet Singh’s name came up on the list of 13 who consumed the drugs and tested positive for them, the Hindustan Times said in a report.
